MTC #14

11.1.10
This isn't a letter from Ty but wanted to post this card from a Hermana (Sister) McKenzie Stevens that came in the mail today:

Peck Family!
Hello hello! err...hola! Yeah, that's better :). I just wanted to take a few moments of your time to tell you what a privilege it was (is) to have Elder Peck in our district. Honestly, I have grown and learned so much from and (and I'm not just talking music and bands ;)) Elder peck has been such a leader to our district. He sets the bar of excellence that we all try and follow. Truly there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Elder Peck is going to do miracles for the people in Chile. I'm so pumped for him.
The thing that I love the most about Elder Peck is his spiritual maturity. I can't even tell you how many little insights he's had and shared with the class, and all the new things I learn from him. I feel so blessed to have had a first-hand opportunity to learn from Elder Peck. At least for me, he's been the example of the type of missionary I want to be when I grow up.
Real quick, there was this one day a few weeks ago that I was pretty down on myself. My companion and I were off, Spanish wasn't coming easy that day, so just not the best of days. But I didn't tell anyone how I was feeling that day. Then halfway through a study block, Elder Peck walks over to my desk and hands me a piece of paper with a scripture from the Bible on it. Needless to say it was exactly what I needed to turn my day around. And all he told me was that he felt like sharing it with me. So that's what I'm talking about! Elder Peck is going to do so amazing. You all should be so proud because I know I am. Thank you for sharing him with us for a few months! <3 Hermana Stevens.
